Algebra IA – Back to School

Welcome to DA, and Algebra IA.

Here are a few helpful things to help you get ready for a great school year.

Algebra IA Supply List:

Students will be expected to bring the following items to class on a daily basis;

  1. Textbook – Florida Algebra 1 Common Core: Pearson, 2015. (Available Online)
  2. Algebra Nation Workbook
  3. 3-ring binder (rings at least 1”) with all work in chronological order
  4. Both Notebook & Graph paper
  5. At least 2 pencils
  6. Standard ear-buds or headphones.  (Plug-in, not Bluetooth)
  7. Scientific Calculator – The following calculators are approved for use on the Algebra I FSA End-of-Course assessment, and are highly recommended:
  • Texas Instruments TI-30Xa,
  • Casio fx-260,
  • Casio fx-82,
  • Sharp EL-510R,
  • Sharp EL-510RN

*Cell phones may not be used as calculators.

Algebra II Honors – Back to School 2018-2019

Welcome back, Algebra II Honors students!
Required Materials:
  1. Textbook – Florida Algebra 2 Common Core: Pearson, 2015. (Available Online)
  2. 3-ring binder (rings at least 2”) with all work in chronological order
  3. Notebook & Graph paper
  4. Scientific or Graphing Calculator (The TI-84+ CE graphing calculator is strongly recommended, as that is the one I will be teaching from in class.)  Cell phones may not be used as calculators.
  5. 2 pencils
  6. Colored Pencils

FSA Practice Tests

fsaThe Florida Department of Education has provided Online Practice FSAs for Algebra I, and Geometry.

The purpose of the practice tests is for students to become familiar with the CBT system, functionality, and item types.  Descriptions and response instructions for each item type are included in the Practice Tests Quick Guide. Users should refer to the tutorials on each item or the guide to familiarize themselves with the different features and response instructions for each item type.

While some of the content will be confusing to you, the primary focus of the practice tests is for you to become familiar with the test format.  This FSA Practice Test Quick Guide has also been provided to help you understand the practice test iteslf, and guide you through the log-in process.
